Water drains out immediately from my Top-Load Samsung Washing Machine.
A top-load washing machine with a vertical drum uses a drain system to remove dirty water after each wash cycle. If the machine is draining out immediately, it could be due to a clogged or damaged drain hose, a malfunctioning pump, or a problem with the water level sensor. Fixing the issue can help the machine function efficiently.
Follow below solutions:
- Make sure the drain hose is not clogged, and is hung over the drain hose hook. Fill the spin basket halfway with water, and try spinning again.
- Lift the end of the drain hose to prevent water from draining. Fill the spin basket halfway with water, and then run spinning after releasing the drain hose.
- Ensure the drain hose is installed correctly. Refer to the instructions below for proper installation of both General type and Pump type (for applicable models only).
Note:
- The position (side or rear) of the drain outlet depends on the model.
- Availability of the hose cap depends on the model.
WARNING: Make sure the end of the drain hose is not submerged by water. Otherwise, the washing machine may suffer serious damage.
- Do not exceed 3 m (*) for the total length of extended hoses.
- Do not let the drain hose run over doorsills that protrude 5 cm (**) or more from the floor.
