Navigation Bar Settings on Galaxy device

When you turn on the screen, the soft buttons will appear on the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. The Navigation bar helps you to navigate your Galaxy device, whether you prefer the classic style or customize the layout and button order, or even make it disappear entirely and use gestures to navigate your phone instead.

Change the Navigation bar type

1 Navigate to Settings then open Display.

3 Choose Buttons.

To change the Button order tap on More options then choose your preferred Buttons order.

3 Choose Swipe gestures.

To change the Gesture sensitivity tap on More options then choose your preferred Sensitivty.

 

You can also Block gestures when using the S Pen by enabling the Block Gestures with S Pen option, it helps when drawing near the edges of the screen using the S Pen.

Activating Assistant app

  • Open Digital assistant by swiping inward from the bottom left or right corners of the phone screen.

Note: This function is enabled regardless of which navigation type (Buttons or Swipe gestures) is set on the device.

Activating Circle to Search

  • Touch and hold the Home button or the navigation handle at the bottom of the phone screen to activate the Circle to Search feature.
