If your Samsung Galaxy phone's battery is draining quickly, follow these steps to check the issue and determine if a replacement is needed.

1 Use an Approved Charger

Ensure you're using a Samsung-approved charger. Unapproved chargers or cables can damage the battery and void your warranty.

2 Avoid Old Chargers

Old chargers may not supply enough power to newer devices, leading to slower or incomplete charging.

3 Check Charger Compatibility

Make sure the charger's output matches your device’s charging requirements. Different models may need different charging currents.

6 Use Safe Mode to Diagnose

If battery drain persists, enable Safe Mode to identify if third-party apps are causing the issue:

  • Power off and restart the device.
  • Hold the volume-down key when the Samsung logo appears until the lock screen shows.
  • "Safe Mode" will appear in the lower-left corner.
  • Monitor battery consumption for 2-3 hours. To exit Safe Mode, simply restart the device.
