We love the city and the Cantonese culture as much as you do! Galaxy AI is now supporting Cantonese in different features, including Interpreter, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, Call Assist and Samsung keyboardetc. Galaxy AI not only knows how to read and write, but also learns the complicated Cantonese slangs and idioms. Simply speak in Cantonese and Galaxy AI will translate into multiple languages, makes you connect the world effortlessly!

It's an efficient way to search on a smartphone — just make a circle. Boost your productivity on the massive fold-out screen, with your finger or the S Pen.²

When will the update be available in each region?

The update will bring Galaxy AI to Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, Tab S9 (5G) and Tab S9 (Wi-Fi) devices starting March 29 and then rolling out globally over the coming months.
How do I update my phone?

Go to Settings > Software Update. Tap on Download and install. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Why are some AI features not supported on select models? Is Samsung planning to support these features later on?

When determining which features to bring to specific Galaxy devices, we carefully selected and integrated features that are compatible with each device to deliver a seamless, premium mobile AI experience.
Is Samsung planning on extending Galaxy AI features to even more models including Galaxy A series? If so, what is the approximate roll-out plan per model? If not, why?

While we do not have any information to share about future Galaxy AI roll-out plans at this time, we are always looking at new ways to bring premium experiences to more Galaxy users.
Will Galaxy AI be rolled out to all flagship devices moving forward?

Our immediate priority is bringing Galaxy AI experiences to our flagship devices, including S series and Z series within 1H 2024. However, integrating AI into more of our product portfolio is a priority for us moving forward.
Why are some features on-device AI and others cloud-based AI?

We’ve taken a hybrid approach with Galaxy AI that allows us to optimize features according to the use case. This ensures a seamless usage experience between cloud-based AI for various functions and on-device AI for immediate responsiveness and extra assurance of privacy.
