Preview doesn’t work on my PC screen when I run Windows Mixed Reality & Mixed Reality Portal icons and features on Samsung Odyssey headset (Hong-Kong version)

You can only use Windows Mixed Reality’s preview feature on PCs with graphics cards that support it.
Check the graphics card installed in your PC.

Here is how to check.

Samsung HMD (head mounted display) Odyssey is a premium MR (mixed reality) headset that shows videos right before your eyes.
Mixed Reality Portal is a Windows app for using the HMD and provides a place to experience MR (mixed reality).
It runs automatically when the HMD is connected to the PC.
Users can enjoy various images, videos, games, or the Internet and can connect a controller to the computer to enjoy more realistic content.


*HMD (head mounted display): a display device that is worn on the head.
*MR (mixed reality): technology that combines the real world with virtual data to benefit from the advantages of both augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR).


• Mixed Reality Portal icons and features

Open and close the menu panel.

Check the HMD name and connection status.

Check the left controller connection status.

Check the right controller connection status.

Turn the boundary set for the area the HMD is used on or off. This surrounds a set zone with invisible walls to prevent the user from bumping into obstacles.

Download the Mixed Reality app.

Set up the controllers or run the app.

Turn preview on or off.

Change the proportions of the Mixed Reality Portal preview screen.

Use the Mixed Reality Portal app in full-screen mode or revert it to its original size.
