How to clean the filter of my air purifier?
Samsung air purifier enables you to breathe in clean and fresh air. You can purifier the air in your home by removing dust, allergens, and more. To keep the fresh air, you need to clean the air purifier filter frequently. See the filter details below and follow the instructions to clean your filters.
Overview of the filters
Samsung air purifier uses a multi-layered purification system comprising a pre-filter, deodorization filter, and Dust Collecting Filters.
- Pre-filter (A): Pre-filter extracts large dust particles, such as pollen and pet hair.
- Deodorization filter (B): It removes harmful gases such as carbon monoxide and unpleasant odors such as food and bathroom odors.
- Dust Collecting Filters (C): The dust collecting filters can capture up to 99.97% of 0.3㎛ sized dust like cigarette smoke particles.
Only the pre-filter is washable among these filters. The deodorization filter and Dust Collecting Filters are not washable, so you must replace them periodically.
Note:
- Tested on the AX80K7580WFD for toluene, xylene, benzene, ethylbenzene, styrene and formaldehyde gases in the National Test Institute of South Korea.
- The filter media has over 99.97% dust collection efficiency, based on particle size of 0.26㎛, as specified by 42 CFR part 84. Tested in the National Test Institute of South Korea.
Check out the type of your air purifier filters before the cleaning. There are 2 different filter systems, 2-in-1 or a separated type. If the system is 2-in-1, you only need to replace the one filter. The separated type will need to replacement of the two filters.
Note that only the pre-filter can be washable among these filters. The deodorization filter and the Dust Collecting Filters are not washable, so you must replace them periodically.
