Top Loader Washing Machine.
Whenever I choose and start a wash cycle, the drum starts to spin without any water in it, is this normal?
Yes! This is normal.
This is due to the Automatic Sensing Function in the machine.
- According to the selected program, the amount of laundry will be automatically sensed and then the appropriate water level, wash time, rinse cycle, and spinning time are automatically selected for the wash.
After the power is turned on, a program is selected and the Start/Pause button is pressed. Then, the washing drum will start turning without any water. This action allows the washing machine to sense how much laundry has been loaded into the machine. After the sensing process is done, water will be supplied automatically.
