Sleeping on the job may be frowned upon at the office but don’t feel bad about taking a snooze at home. Closing your eyes in a clean, serene inducing environment improves your mood and productivity. So here are a few do’s and don’ts to help you maximise your naptime.
Timing is everything
The longer you nap the more likely you are to feel groggy afterwards. So shut your eyes for 20 - 30 minutes at a time and you will stay sharper and more alert. Also keep in mind that napping between 1pm and 3pm fits in best with your body’s natural rhythm. That way a little shut-eye will never interfere with your nighttime sleep.
Clean linen is key
We spend nearly a third of our lives in bed. This amounts to 56 hours a week of sweat and dead skin that we leave behind. So how do we escape the grime?
- Wash and change your sheets weekly.
- Select a sanitisation cycle to eliminate bacteria.*
Use Samsung washer’s Hygiene Steam** to keep the linen fresh
Coffee works
Remember to drink a cup beforehand – it sounds crazy but the caffeine will only kick in after you wake up, so you can go about your day even more invigorated.
Nap peacefully
Fresh linen will make your nap even more refreshing.
