Detergents that can be used in your Samsung dishwasher
When you are running wash cycles with your Samsung dishwasher, you should only use detergents that have been formulated for dishwasher use. In other words, do not use soaps or detergents that are meant for other appliances.
- Only use detergents and rinse aids that have been formulated for domestic dishwashers.
- Other types of detergents can produce excessive foam, which may decrease the dishwasher’s performance or cause it to malfunction.
You will need to use detergent when running wash cycles in your Samsung dishwasher. Add the detergent manufacturer's recommended amount for the selected cycle to ensure the best performance. When selecting detergents, you can use Enzyme-based or Chlorine-based detergents.
Note: If you're using detergent pods or tablets, make sure the pod or tablet is placed properly in the dispenser and the dispenser door is closed properly. If it does not fit, use a different brand of pods or tablets, or liquid dishwasher detergent instead.
Using a rinse aid will improve the drying performance of your dishwasher. You can also try using a smaller amount of detergent and increase the rinse aid. When you’re ready to add a rinse aid, please use the following instructions:
Cautions and notes for using rinse aid:
• It is recommended to use only liquid rinse aid. Powdered rinse aid may clog the reservoir opening and cause the dishwasher to malfunction.
• Do not overfill the rinse aid reservoir, as this may cause the rinse aid to overflow during a cycle.
• Do not apply detergent to the rinse aid reservoir.
