Does Galaxy S9/S9+ support the Adoptable Storage feature?
What is Adoptable Storage?
Adoptable Storage is a feature introduced by Google that allows an external storage media (Such as a microSD card) to be formatted on an Android device and use it as a permanent internal storage.
The data on the Adopted external storage media will be encrypted and cannot be mounted on other devices; or be unmounted and used as an external memory anymore.
Which devices support adoptable storage?
In order to use the Adoptable Storage, you will need a mobile device that runs Android 6.0 Mashmallow with a microSD card slot.
Samsung no longer supports the use of Adoptable Storage on the Galaxy devices.
