How to ensure Galaxy S5 is protected from water ingress?

To ensure you device is properly protected against water ingress, the back cover and multipurpose jack cover must close tightly to prevent water and dust from entering the device.
You should use only Samsung-approved back covers and accessories with the device.
Keep in mind that open or loose covers may allow water and dust to enter the device and cause damage.

To close the cover, attach the upper part of the back cover and press firmly on each part as shown in the illustration below. The final step in sealing your device is to ensure the snap point just around left of flash is closed
