How to use the Multi Window Feature on Galaxy S9, S9+?

The Multi Window mode on your Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ lets you view two apps side by side on a split screen. You can adjust the size of the individual screens and copy information from one app to the other. 

 

With the new One UI (Android 9.0), it is now even easier to be a multi-tasking champion!

 

1 Tap on the 'Recents' button on the Navigation Bar
Tap on Recents
2 Tap on the first application's icon that you want to multi-task
Tap on App's Icon
3 Tap on 'Open in Split Screen View'
Tap on Open in Split Screen View

Please Note:

• Only applications that supports the Multi Window feature will have option displayed.

4 The first application will appear at the top of the screen.
Another selection screen will appear for you to choose the second application that you want to multi-task with.
Tap on second app
5 The screen will automatically adjust to display equally for both the applications.

6 To resize the windows, there is a grey bar in the centre of the Multi Window view, simply drag it up or down (or side by side) to adjust.
