Testing the Pedometer's basic performance on Galaxy Watch
To test the Pedometer's performance, perform a continuous 50 steps count on a long trajectory.
• Please walk naturally without looking at the Galaxy watch.
The shoulder, elbow and wrist act like a low pass filter (LPF) that passes signal with a lower frequency and block high frequency signal. This may cause the acceleration signal to be attenuated and affect the displayed content on the device
• Avoid turning against the wall or at end of the room. This is not an appropriate test method as these movement make attenuation of the sensor signal
• Shaking the device on hand is not considered as a walking motion. This test method may not guarantee the accuracy of the step detection
• If the sensor signal attenuation cause missing steps frequently, step count may not be updated by the initial step count condition

Q: While walking, the number of steps do not go up immediately. Why is this happening?
A: The internal alogrithm starts to check and count the steps, once the number of steps (eg:- 10 steps) are detected continuously without stopping. Because of this, the update of the step count will be slightly delay
Q: The number of steps in Galaxy Watch is different from my device
A: This can be caused by the difference in the position of the watch and your device. It is a normal operation
