IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE RECEIVING ANY EVALUATION, REPAIR, DEVICE OR SOFTWARE UPGRADE, AND/OR OTHER SERVICES (COLLECTIVELY, THE “SERVICES”) FROM SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. (“SAMSUNG”), ITS AFFILIATES, THIRD PARTY SUPPLIERS AND/OR WORKSHOPS (COLLECTIVELY, “SAMSUNG AUTHORISED PERSONS”). YOU MUST AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS PRIOR TO HANDING OVER YOUR DEVICE SAMSUNG AND/OR, SAMSUNG AUTHORISED PERSONS FOR THE “SERVICES”. THE BENEFITS CONFERRED BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE IN ADDITION TO ALL RIGHTS AND REMEDIES CONVEYED BY CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLICABLE IN YOUR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE. THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE IN ADDITION TO ANY REPAIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS OR GENERAL SERVICE TERMS AND CONDITIONS THAT YOU MAY ENTER INTO WITH SAMSUNG AND/OR SAMSUNG AUTHORISED PERSONS FROM TIME TO TIME.
1. Customer’s Responsibility . It is your responsibility to maintain a separate back up copy of all data (including but not limited to contacts, messages, pictures, videos, music, ringtones, files, calendar, etc.), software, and programs existing on your device, and to erase all data (in particular any personal or confidential information) from your device, before receiving Services. You also represent that your device does not contain any illegal files or data.
2. Data Deletion . The device settings may be restored to the factory default settings during the performance of Services. During the performance of Services, it is also possible that the data, software or programs on your device may be lost, deleted, replaced, altered, corrupted, reformatted, or otherwise compromised or rendered inaccessible. Samsung and Samsung Authorised Persons will not be responsible or liable for any such lost , deleted, replaced, altered, corrupted, reformatted, or otherwise compromised or inaccessible data, software, or programs, or loss of use of equipment arising out of or in connection with the Services.
3. Data Access . You must grant Samsung and Samsung Authorised Persons access to your device for the purpose of providing Services. During the performance of Services, Samsung and/or Samsung Authorised Persons may inadvertently access personal or confidential information stored on the device , or it may be necessary to check areas on the device within which your personal or confidential information is located in order to verify the quality of the Services. Samsung does not share any content accessed on your device unless otherwise required by laws or regulations. If you have any content on your device that you do not wish Samsung to have access to, please delete such content or reset your device before receiving the Services. Test images may be left on your device from the quality control testing process.
