When you're ready to buy a new TV for gaming, these are things to consider:

Now the game starts soon, so grab what you need.

Cloud Gaming

Dive into the world of Cloud Gaming where expensive gaming consoles and hardware are no longer required to stream your favourite games directly to your TV.

Just with a reliable internet connection and a compatible TV, you can access thousands of cloud games* and standalone apps on your Samsung Smart TV.

A Samsung TV is showcasing a game scene, complete with a controller illustration below. The text No console required for gaming is on top of the TV.

* Cloud Gaming: The supported features and games for Cloud Gaming can vary depending on the country and model. Depending on the specific game, a controller may be required, which is sold separately. Depending on the game or service, you may need to download additional apps. An internet connection and potentially an additional gaming service subscription may be required. Note that content services are subject to change without prior notification. A Samsung account is required. The user interface (UI) is subject to change without prior notice. The viewing experience may vary based on the types of content, graphics processing unit, network connection speeds, and ping levels when gaming on the cloud.

Convenient UI

A gaming TV with a built-in Game Bar is a great investment if you want to handle even the most demanding games with ease. Not only does it offer more control over game settings like input lag, sound output and picture mode, but it also enables you to adjust the display aspect ratio from 16:9 to 21:9 or 32:9 for a wider field of view. You'll be able to spot your enemies better and emerge victorious.

A game scene from 'The First Descendants' is on display. The game bar, featuring essential settings, showcases the game picture mode set to standard, a screen ratio of 16:9, minimap zoom set to off, game motion plus set to off, and virtual aim point set to off. Additionally, the game bar displays a sound output option and offers guidance through the help guide feature.
  • Game Bar is available for ultra wide supported games and PC games only.
  • Some game titles may not support or be limited in the use of this function.

Low Input Lag

Don’t blink! When you play sports, action or FPS (first-person shooter) games, a one-second delay determines who wins or loses. That's why a TV response time is so important and why a low input lag TV is a must for gaming.

When measuring speed, input lag — the delay between pressing a button on a controller and seeing the game react — is measured in ms (milliseconds). The lower the input lag, the faster the reaction rate will be.

So a TV that has smooth screen processing without tearing (FreeSync) while maintaining a low input lag is definitely the better choice.

An identical game scene exhibits varying input lag. On the right side, the game scene with minimal input lag showcases swift response times, precisely hitting the baseball, and the text HIT! appears. In contrast, the scene on the left side, marked by high input lag, results in the baseball player failing to connect with the ball, accompanied by the text MISS!

Smooth gaming response

If you want to fully immerse yourself in the game world, a gaming TV with a high refresh rate of 144Hz will deliver that lifelike and ultra-fluid experience you crave. A 144Hz refresh rate means that the TV can display up to 144 frames per second, which makes fast-paced games look smoother with reduced motion blur. This, in turn, can help you react faster to in-game situations and give you that competitive edge.

A comparison is being made between the same race car racing in 4K 60Hz and 4K 144Hz, with both displayed side by side. The text Screen images simulated is on display at the bottom.

Big Screen

It's often said that when buying a TV, bigger is better—and the same holds true when choosing the best size TV for gaming.
This is especially true when you race against your friends in a multiplayer game or have a dance competition with your family in your home.
A bigger screen makes any game more fun and exciting.
